Cat scratcher refills: match the pad before you buy
Find the right Turbo or Catit scratcher refill with a model-to-part table, a fit checklist, and a reminder to check replacement availability.
Start with the scratcher’s model name, then look for a refill that explicitly names it. A pad’s shape alone is not much of a match: Coastal lists one refill pack for both its Turbo Scratcher and Star Chaser, while Catit assigns different cardboard replacement sets to its PIXI Tall, Wide and Cat Tail models. If you’re buying a new scratcher, open the replacement listing before ordering the whole thing. Our shopping rule is simple: find the part you would buy next, check that a seller can deliver it to you, and save the link with the receipt.
This guide uses manufacturer descriptions checked September 29, 2026. We have not tested these scratchers or fitted their refills. It covers the named products below, not every cardboard pad sold online. There are no affiliate links.

These are documented matches, not a promise of stock. Catit’s international product page establishes the part numbers; confirm US delivery and availability with the seller before treating a replacement as easy to buy. Coastal’s pads also have a US retail listing at Pet Food Express.
There is another Catit name worth separating from that table. The Senses Oval Scratcher, #43170, is a double-sided oval board designed to fit inside Senses Circuits, which are sold separately. Make a match before adding it to your cart
Here is our suggested check for an existing scratcher:
- Find its brand and full model name in your order history, receipt or packaging. Keep words such as “Tall” and “Wide” in the search.
- Compare the replacement listing with the manufacturer’s compatibility information. Use a part number when one is provided.
- If the model is missing, measure the old insert’s length, width and thickness, or diameter and thickness for a round pad. Send those measurements and a photo of the holder to the seller or manufacturer. Ask for a confirmed match before ordering.
- Check whether the listing includes one pad, several pads, or a model-specific set of cardboard pieces. A replacement listing and a complete scratcher can look similar in a small shopping thumbnail.
Treat measurements as information to help identify a part. We have not verified that a generic pad of similar dimensions will fit any of the holders above.
Compare the refill order with the whole scratcher
For our suggested cost check, put the delivered refill price beside the delivered price of a complete replacement scratcher. Include shipping and any minimum order you would need to reach. For a multipack, divide the delivered total by the number of usable refills, while remembering that you pay for the whole pack upfront.
We have not measured how long any of these pads last, so this table cannot establish a yearly cost or a cheapest long-term option. A match you can order is the useful first step.
